Because of a lack of wifi, we missed a good offer on our tent, meaning we are still carrying it around. And stuff you carry on your back, you might as well use. So while booking a tour to the famous Uyuni salt flats, Thomas casually informed about camping options, eager to start a new adventure.
We are currently on our way to cerro castillo where we will do a tough 4 day trek with our backpacks. It will probably be astonishing but also mentally and physically challenging.
We’ve been quite active since we started our trip. Mostly because we’ve been walking a lot. Still, apart from our 4 day hike, I doubt our activities will keep me in my current shape.
Some people might know that I would like to embark on a trip to Antarctica. Not because I like snow or freezing temperatures that much but because I love Penguins. They are just awesome in every way. Way too clumsy to climb up a hill but determined to make it anyway. They are great parents and stay together for life. And okay, I’ll admit it, they are very, very cute.
After a one hour delay because of a sick passenger, a total of 17 hours on a plane, 30 minutes in a bus and a 1km walk, we made it to our AirBnB. Safe to say, our trip has officially started!
Planning ahead has never been my strong suit. Professionally, I am well organized, but in my natural habitat, home, I usually go with the flow. Exceptions to that rule have been moving into our apartment and getting married, which I have pretty much completely drawn out in Excel. Although I was the one who convinced Dagmar to go on a long trip together, I had no actual idea of where to go. Many countries appealed to me while others did not.
